QES Scaffold Horizontal
Engineered to international standards for safety, speed and durability on every job site.
Overview
The QES Scaffold Horizontal is the horizontal ledgered member of the Quick Erect Scaffold (QES) system — a hot-dip galvanized steel bar with captive wedges at each end that drop into the forged rings of the QES post to lock the bay square, fast and without tools. Offered in eight bay widths from 2' (QH2) to 10' (QH10), the QES horizontal sets the grid spacing for decks, guardrails and bracing on fast-erecting QES assemblies. As a QES manufacturer, we provide OEM/ODM, ISO 9001 and FOB Shanghai delivery.

Key Features
- Hot-dip galvanized steel for durability and long service life
- Captive wedges at each end lock into the QES post rings
- Locks the bay square without loose parts or tools
- Sets the module for decks, guardrails and braces
- Eight bay widths: 2' (QH2) to 10' (QH10)
- Core horizontal of the fast-erecting QES system

The QES Scaffold Horizontal is the horizontal member of the Quick Erect Scaffold (QES) system. It is a hot-dip galvanized steel bar with captive wedges at each end; the wedges drop into the eight openings of the forged rings welded to the QES post, locking the bay square without loose parts or tools.
Because the horizontal fixes the bay width, it sets the module for working decks, guardrails and diagonal braces across the QES scaffold. With posts and horizontals as the two principal components, QES erects quickly for fit-out, maintenance and confined-entry work.
QES Scaffold Horizontal Widths
Eight standard bay widths cover most layouts: 2' (QH2), 3' (QH3), 4' (QH4), 5' (QH5), 6' (QH6), 7' (QH7), 8' (QH8) and 10' (QH10). All are hot-dip galvanized for durability and long service life on site.
How the QES Scaffold Horizontal Is Made
The QES horizontal starts as a plain steel tube and leaves the line as a galvanized, tool-free locking member. Four operations shape the tube ends into the captive-wedge connector:

Step 1 — Punching holes at both ends: the tube ends are punched to form the connector openings that receive the stamped wedge.

Step 2 — Heating both ends: the punched ends are heated so the steel becomes malleable for forming.

Step 3 — Flattening both ends: the heated ends are pressed flat, shaping the seat that holds the captive wedge.

Step 4 — Hot-dip galvanizing and wedge assembly: the formed horizontals are sent for hot-dip galvanizing, then the stamped wedge connectors are assembled into each end.
The QES Scaffold Horizontal works with our QES Scaffold Post and QES braces to form square, stable bays of the QES Scaffold system.
