Form Lock

Engineered to international standards for safety, speed and durability on every job site.

Overview

The Form Lock is a ladder-style steel alignment accessory manufactured to fit inside an insulated concrete form (ICF) wall, where two parallel flat rails and welded cross bars hold the wall straight during construction. It is also used to align walls at vertical stack joints, which is critical to the stability and precision of multi-layer construction. Two stock sizes are available - FL01 (2.1 m long, 10 cm width, 1.8 kgs) and FL02 (2.1 m long, 15 cm width, 1.95 kgs) - both in black-finished steel, packed on a steel pallet of 1,000 pieces per pallet, FOB Shanghai from ACE SCAFFOLD.

Form Lock - Ladder-Style ICF Wall Straightening System FL01 FL02

Key Features

  • Ladder-style design: two flat rails joined by welded cross bars
  • Bent and welded end flanges embed in the concrete once cured
  • Maintains wall straightness during the concrete pour
  • Aligns walls at vertical stack joints for multi-layer stability
  • Two stock sizes: FL01 10 cm width (1.8 kgs) and FL02 15 cm width (1.95 kgs)
  • Q235 carbon steel with black mill finish, FOB Shanghai from ACE SCAFFOLD
  • Available in custom lengths and widths to customer specification

The Form Lock is designed to maintain wall straightness during the construction process. Ladder-style in shape - two parallel flat steel rails joined by welded cross bars - it is manufactured to fit within the ICF wall and gives the wall internal strength while the concrete is placed. The two ends of each rail are bent and welded into short flanges that embed in the concrete once it cures, so the assembly becomes a permanent alignment element that resists bowing or shifting. Recommended installation is in the second course of forms, followed by every third or fourth course after that, with additional units at vertical stack joints, window sills and any other location that needs internal support during the pour. ACE SCAFFOLD supplies form locks FOB Shanghai with OEM/ODM available.

What a Form Lock Does

The Form Lock is designed to maintain wall straightness during the construction process. In addition to this primary function, it is also used for aligning walls, particularly for vertical stack joints, which is crucial for the stability and precision of multi-layer constructions.

Ladder-Style Cross Bars

The Form Lock is a ladder style system specifically manufactured to fit within the wall. The two parallel rails and the cross bars that join them provide the strength to help maintain wall straightness during construction.

Where to Install It

It is recommended that the Form Lock is installed in the second course of forms, followed by every third or fourth course after that. Additional units are used at vertical stack joints, window sills, and other areas that may require additional internal support during construction.

Two Stock Sizes

FL01 is 2.1 m long with a 10 cm width (1.8 kgs); FL02 is 2.1 m long with a 15 cm width (1.95 kgs). Both are Q235 carbon steel with a black mill finish, lightweight, and supplied FOB Shanghai from ACE SCAFFOLD.

Custom Lengths and Widths

We can manufacture FORM LOCK in different lengths and widths according to customer requirements. If your project needs a non-standard size, send us the dimensions and we will produce FORM LOCK to your specification, FOB Shanghai from ACE SCAFFOLD.

Steel-Pallet Packaging

Form locks are packed on a steel pallet, with 1,000 pieces per pallet, so large orders can be moved quickly and stored outdoors on site.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q
What is a form lock used for?
A form lock is a ladder-style steel alignment accessory set inside an insulated concrete form (ICF) wall to maintain wall straightness during the concrete pour. It is also used to align walls at vertical stack joints, which is crucial for the stability and precision of multi-layer constructions.
Q
How does the form lock stay in place inside the form?
The Form Lock is a ladder style system specifically manufactured to fit within the wall, with two parallel rails and welded cross bars that give the wall internal strength. Both ends of each rail are bent and welded into short flanges that embed in the concrete once it cures, so the assembly becomes a permanent alignment element that resists bowing or shifting.
Q
Where should form locks be installed in an ICF wall?
It is recommended that the Form Lock is installed in the second course of forms, followed by every third or fourth course after that. Additional units are used at vertical stack joints, window sills, and any other areas on the project that may require additional internal support during construction.
Q
What is the difference between FL01 and FL02?
FL01 is the 10 cm width (1.8 kgs) for narrower ICF forms; FL02 is the 15 cm width (1.95 kgs) for wider forms. Both are 2.1 m long, Q235 carbon steel with a black mill finish.
Q
