Overview
The Cuplock Vertical - also called a cuplock vertical standard or cuplock standard post - is the vertical load-bearing member of a cuplock scaffolding system. It is a Ø48.3 mm steel tube with a welded bottom cup and a forged top cup at each node, plus a spigot at the top so standards stack to the required height. Offered in five stock lengths from 1 m (CV33, 6.00 kgs) to 3 m (CV99, 16.40 kgs) and hot-dip galvanized for site life, it forms the upright frame that ledgers, braces and transoms lock into through the cup-and-blade action. It is built to OSHA, ANSI and CSA guidelines with a 4:1 safety factor, ISO 9001 quality and FOB Shanghai delivery from ACE SCAFFOLD.

On a cuplock scaffold, the cuplock vertical standard is the upright that carries load from the working platform down to the base. It is made from Ø48.3 mm steel tube with a welded bottom cup and a loose forged top cup spaced at regular intervals along the length. Ledger and brace blades drop into the bottom cup and are locked by rotating and tapping down the top cup, giving a rigid four-way node without loose bolts. A spigot (connecting pin) at the top of each standard aligns and joins the next standard so towers rise in clean 1 m, 1.5 m, 2 m, 2.5 m and 3 m bays. Cuplock Vertical Standard
The cuplock vertical standard is the upright member of the cuplock system. It is a Ø48.3 mm steel tube with a welded bottom cup and a forged top cup at every node, so ledgers and braces lock in from four directions with a single hammer blow.
Cup-and-Blade Node
Ledger and brace blades drop into the welded bottom cup. Rotating and tapping down the forged top cup locks them with no loose bolts or fittings to lose on site. Each node carries the working and line loads of the bay.
Spigot for Stacking
A spigot (connecting pin) at the top of each standard aligns the next standard and keeps the tower plumb as it rises. Bays come in 1 m, 1.5 m, 2 m, 2.5 m and 3 m, covering most access and shoring heights.
Hot-dip Galvanized
Every cuplock vertical standard is hot-dip galvanized Q235/Q345 carbon steel for corrosion resistance on site, coastal and offshore projects, and is built to OSHA, ANSI and CSA guidelines with a 4:1 safety factor.
