Spigot Clamp

Engineered to international standards for safety, speed and durability on every job site.

Overview

The Spigot Clamp - also called a ringlock spigot clamp or scaffold tube spigot clamp - is a forged steel clamp that slips over the spigot of a ringlock standard or ledger and locks a 48.3 mm scaffold tube in place. It creates an extra tube connection at any spigot location without changing the standard ringlock geometry.

Spigot Clamp - Ringlock Scaffold Tube Clamp

Key Features

  • Forged Q235 steel spigot clamp
  • Fits over a ringlock spigot for an extra tube connection
  • Locks a 48.3 mm scaffold tube in place with a wedge bolt
  • Keeps standard ringlock geometry intact
  • Hot-dip galvanized for outdoor durability
  • Standard model TCSAC, 1.57 kgs unit weight
  • Compliant with EN 12810 / EN 12811, ANSI, AS/NZS 1576 and OSHA
  • ISO 9001 quality with FOB Shanghai delivery

A spigot clamp is a compact forged fitting that bridges the end of a ringlock spigot and a scaffold tube. The collar of the clamp fits over the spigot, then a wedge bolt tightens the jaw onto a 48.3 mm tube so the tube is locked in line with the spigot. This gives crews a quick way to extend ledgers, add guardrails or fit accessories where a normal rosette connection is not available. The TCSAC model weighs 1.57 kgs and is hot-dip galvanized for outdoor durability. ACE SCAFFOLD manufactures spigot clamps under ISO 9001 quality with FOB Shanghai delivery.

A spigot clamp is the fitting that turns a ringlock spigot into a tube connection. By sliding over the spigot and gripping a scaffold tube, it gives crews an extra connection point without adding another standard or ledger.

Spigot-to-Tube Connection

A ringlock spigot is the small stub that projects from the end of a standard or ledger for stacking bays. A spigot clamp fits over that stub and carries a tube at right angles, so the spigot becomes a usable node for bracing, guardrails or accessories.

Forged Steel Construction

The clamp body is drop-forged from Q235 steel for strength, then hot-dip galvanized to resist rust on outdoor sites. The wedge bolt tightens the jaw onto the tube and holds it firmly under load.

One Standard Model TCSAC

TCSAC is the standard spigot clamp, weighing 1.57 kgs. It fits over the common ringlock spigot and accepts the standard 48.3 mm scaffold tube used by most modular systems.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q
What is a spigot clamp?
A spigot clamp is a forged steel clamp that slips over the spigot of a ringlock standard or ledger and locks a 48.3 mm scaffold tube in place, creating an extra tube connection.
Q
What is the TCSAC model?
TCSAC is the standard spigot clamp. It has a unit weight of 1.57 kgs and is designed to fit over a ringlock spigot while gripping a standard scaffold tube.
Q
How does a spigot clamp attach to the spigot?
The collar of the clamp slides over the spigot. A wedge bolt is then tightened to grip the scaffold tube in the clamp jaw, locking the tube firmly in place.
Q
What tube size does the spigot clamp fit?
Spigot clamps are made for the standard 48.3 mm scaffold tube used in ringlock, cuplock and frame systems.
Q
Why use a spigot clamp instead of a rosette clamp?
A rosette clamp bolts onto the rosette disc. A spigot clamp fits over the spigot stub at the end of a standard or ledger, giving crews a connection point where no rosette is present.
Q
What material is the spigot clamp made from?
ACE SCAFFOLD spigot clamps are drop-forged from Q235 steel and finished with a hot-dip galvanized coating for strength and corrosion resistance.
Q
How much does a spigot clamp weigh?
The TCSAC spigot clamp weighs 1.57 kgs per piece.
Q
Can spigot clamps be used on all ringlock systems?
They fit standard ringlock spigots with the common 48.3 mm tube diameter. If your system uses a different spigot size or tube diameter, contact us for compatibility.
Q
Are spigot clamps reusable?
Yes. The forged steel and galvanized finish give them a long service life, and they can be installed, removed and reused across multiple projects.
Q
Do spigot clamps meet scaffold standards?
ACE SCAFFOLD spigot clamps are manufactured under ISO 9001 quality management and are suitable for use in systems compliant with EN 12810 / EN 12811, ANSI, AS/NZS 1576 and OSHA.
Q
Can I order spigot clamps with custom finishes?
Yes. ACE SCAFFOLD offers OEM/ODM services including custom surface treatments, packaging and labeling. Contact us with your project requirements and quantity.
Q
What is the difference between a spigot clamp and a normal swivel clamp?
A normal swivel clamp grips two tubes at any angle. A spigot clamp is shaped to fit over the spigot stub of a ringlock member and then grip one tube, so it uses the spigot itself as one side of the connection.
