Rigid Beam Clamp

Engineered to international standards for safety, speed and durability on every job site.

Overview

The Rigid Beam Clamp is a fixed right-angle (90°) forged steel fitting that grips the flange of a structural I-beam so a scaffold, hoist or load can hang from the beam without drilling or welding. Model TCBC weighs 1.6 kgs, is hot dip galvanized and ships FOB Shanghai from ACE SCAFFOLD.

Key Features

  • Fixed right-angle (90°) forged steel beam clamp
  • Also called girder coupler, scaffold C clamp or gravlock coupler
  • Grips an I-beam or H-beam flange to suspend scaffold without drilling or welding
  • Setscrew or wedge locks the clamp square to the beam
  • Installed in pairs to clamp 48.3 mm tube and beam flange from both sides
  • Hot dip galvanized, 1.6 kgs, FOB Shanghai from ACE SCAFFOLD

The Rigid Beam Clamp, also called a girder coupler or scaffold C clamp, is the fixed right-angle (90°) beam clamp that anchors scaffold and loads to existing structural steel. A forged jaw wraps the beam flange while a setscrew or wedge tightens the grip, locking the clamp square (at 90 degrees) to the beam. Used in pairs, it joins a standard 48.3 mm scaffold tube to the flange of an I-beam or H-beam so a scaffold bay, suspended platform or lifting point hangs without cutting, drilling or welding the structure. The forged steel body carries the suspended load across the flange, and the hot dip galvanized finish resists corrosion on site and outdoors.

What a Rigid Beam Clamp Does

The Rigid Beam Clamp is the fixed right-angle (90°) beam clamp. It grips the flange of a structural steel beam so scaffolding, a hoist or a suspended load can hang from the beam without modifying the structure. Use it to start a scaffold run from a steel frame, suspend a platform under a roof truss, or fix a lifting point to an existing I-beam. For an adjustable-angle version, choose the Swivel Beam Clamp.

How the Clamp Grips the Beam

A forged jaw seats over the beam flange and a setscrew or wedge pulls the jaw tight, so the clamp locks square to the beam and will not slip under load. The body is shaped to sit on the flange rather than bite into it, protecting the steel. Beam clamps are installed in pairs, one on each side of the beam, to clamp the scaffold tube and the beam flange from both sides.

Rigid and Load Rated

Built as a forged fitting, the clamp carries the suspended load across the beam flange without flexing. It holds a scaffold bay or a hoist steady, keeping the working platform level and secure.

Hot Dip Galvanized Finish

TCBC is supplied hot dip galvanized for corrosion resistance in outdoor and site conditions, protecting the clamp through repeated assembly, disassembly and storage.

Suspends Scaffold from Steel

The clamp works with standard 48.3 mm scaffold tube and pairs with tube-and-clamp or system scaffolding, supplied FOB Shanghai by ACE SCAFFOLD with OEM/ODM available.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q
What is a rigid beam clamp used for?
It grips the flange of a structural steel I-beam or H-beam so you can hang scaffolding, a hoist or a suspended load from the beam without drilling or welding the structure.
Q
How does the beam clamp attach to the beam?
A forged jaw seats over the beam flange and a setscrew or wedge pulls it tight, locking the clamp square to the beam so it will not slip under the suspended load.
Q
What tube size does the clamp work with?
It pairs with standard 48.3 mm outside-diameter scaffold tube and suits tube-and-clamp or system scaffolding.
Q
What are the TCBC clamp specifications?
TCBC is forged steel, hot dip galvanized, weighs 1.6 kgs and is supplied FOB Shanghai by ACE SCAFFOLD with OEM/ODM available.
Q
Rigid beam clamp vs swivel beam clamp: what is the difference?
The Rigid Beam Clamp is the fixed right-angle (90°) type that locks square to the beam, while the Swivel Beam Clamp rotates to any angle so the suspended load lines up with the beam. Use rigid when the tube meets the beam at 90 degrees; use swivel for angled connections.
Q
Are beam clamps used in pairs?
Yes. Beam clamps are installed in pairs, one on each side of the beam, so the scaffold tube and the beam flange are clamped from both sides for a secure connection.
