The universal scaffold stair is a hook-on scaffold stair that hangs directly on the ledger or transom of any ringlock, cuplock or QES scaffold, so it gives safe inclined access across system scaffolds of different bay widths. Unlike a ringlock stair whose wedge head locks into a rosette and fixes the width, this universal stair uses a hook fitting to mount on the beam, fitting mixed scaffold systems on one unit. A universal scaffold stair is a prefabricated hook-on staircase that mounts on the horizontal members (ledger or transom) of ringlock, cuplock and QES scaffold systems. Instead of plugging a wedge head into a rosette - which fixes the stair width to one bay size - it carries hook fittings that drop over the beam, so the same stair serves system scaffolds of different widths. The unit gives crews safe inclined access between levels where mixed or changing scaffold systems are in use.
