SSP Plank
Engineered to international standards for safety, speed and durability on every job site.
Overview
The SSP Plank — short for Standard Steel Plank — is a 228 mm (9 inch) wide steel walkway plank used as a general-purpose working platform, walkway and access board on scaffold. Wider and far more rigid than a timber scaffold board, the 228 mm SSP plank gives crews a solid, closed steel run for walking, material staging and light plant, spanning the bay without the bounce or rot you get from wood.

Key Features
- 228 mm (9 inch) wide steel walkway plank for general scaffold use
- Firmer, rot-free alternative to timber and aluminium boards
- Q235 steel, hot-dip galvanized against weather and site grime
- Lengths from 0.61 m (SSP2) to 3.05 m (SSP10)
- Cut and drilled to length for the scaffold system in use
- ISO 9001 quality, FOB Shanghai
On most scaffold platforms a timber or aluminium board is enough, but where the run has to take constant foot traffic, wheel loads or wet and corrosive conditions, a steel plank earns its place. The SSP plank is cut and drilled to length from Q235 steel and finished hot-dip galvanized, so it shrugs off weather, site grime and repeated handling that quickly ruins a wooden board. At 228 mm wide it lines up with standard scaffold transoms and gives a firm, level walkway that will not twist or roll under load. Lengths run from the compact 0.61 m SSP2 module up to the 3.05 m SSP10 board, so one product family covers short access runs, long walkways and full working platforms alike. ACE SCAFFOLD supplies SSP planks under ISO 9001 quality, FOB Shanghai, with lengths and end detailing matched to the scaffold system in use.
A standard steel plank is the workhorse deck of a scaffold — a closed, level steel run you can walk on, stage material on and roll light plant across.
228 mm Working Width
At 228 mm (9 inch) wide, the plank lines up with standard scaffold transoms and gives a firmer, more stable footing than a 225 mm board, so walkways and working platforms stay level and safe.
Q235 Steel, Hot-Dip Galvanized
Each plank is Q235 steel, hot-dip galvanized against weather, site grime and repeated handling. The galvanized surface outlasts a bare or painted board by years.
Lengths SSP2 to SSP10
The family runs from the 0.61 m SSP2 module through the 3.05 m SSP10 board, so short access runs, long walkways and full platforms are covered by one product line with matched drilling.
