Overview

The Base Collar - also called a ringlock base collar or scaffold base collar - is a cast steel sleeve that sits at the foot of a ringlock standard and provides the rosette connection point at ground level. It connects a ringlock standard to a screw jack or base plate so the tower starts from a stable, level base while keeping the standard ringlock geometry and rosette spacing.

A base collar is the ground-level hub of a ringlock bay. The cast steel sleeve slips over the end of a standard and carries a rosette so ledgers, guardrails and bracing can attach at the very bottom of the tower, exactly as they do at every higher level. Below the collar, the standard meets a screw jack or base plate, so the whole assembly stands plumb and level on uneven ground. A base collar is the component that gives a ringlock tower a proper starting point. By carrying a rosette at the foot of the standard, it lets the bottom bay use the same connections as every other level.

Ground-Level Rosette Connection

A ringlock bay normally starts with a bare standard on a base plate. A base collar adds a rosette at that lowest point, so ledgers and guardrails can lock in right above the base instead of leaving a weak, open first lift.

Stable, Level Start

The collar seats the standard onto a screw jack or base plate and holds it square. Crews can fine-tune the height and plumb the tower on sloping or uneven ground before the rest of the bay is built.

Cast Steel Construction

The collar body is cast from Q235 steel for strength and dimensional accuracy, then hot-dip galvanized to resist rust on outdoor sites. It matches the standard ringlock rosette pattern used across the system.

One Standard Model RBC-S

RBC-S is the standard base collar, weighing 1.7 kgs. It fits the standard ringlock standard and accepts the common 48.3 mm tube diameter used by most modular systems.
