The Ringlock Scaffolding Leg Lock — also called a leg lock bracket or suspended connector — is a short standard-to-standard connector that locks two ringlock verticals (or a vertical and a base collar) together. It carries one vertical tube and two cast-steel ledger heads with wedge pins, so it clips into the rosettes of both standards and joins them into one rigid column — used for lifting a tower, securing suspended scaffolding, or running a moving and staging scaffold without loose couplers.

On site, a leg lock is the fitting that turns two standards into one. It sleeves over the top of the lower standard and its two cast-steel ledger heads lock into the rosettes of the upper standard (or a base collar), so two verticals become a single rigid column held entirely by the ringlock wedge connection — no loose couplers, no threading. That makes it the right part for lifting a tower in one piece, bracing a suspended scaffold, or running a moving and staging scaffold where the verticals must stay joined through handling. The leg lock is built from Ø48.3 mm S355 high-strength steel with cast-steel ledger heads and wedge pins, hot-dip galvanized for site, coastal and offshore service, and engineered to an 18.8 kN permissible load at a 3:1 safety factor. Like the rest of the system, it is built to EN 12810 / EN 12811, ANSI, AS/NZS 1576 and OSHA, CE-marked and supplied under ISO 9001 quality, FOB Shanghai from ACE SCAFFOLD.

A leg lock joins two standards. Where a coupler would thread and loosen, the leg lock clips the two verticals into one column with the same wedge heads used everywhere else in the ringlock system.

Two Ledger Heads, One Tube

A leg lock is one short vertical tube carrying two cast-steel ringlock ledger heads, each with its own wedge pin. You seat the tube between the two standards and drive the wedges home — the heads lock into the rosettes of both verticals, joining them rigidly.

Why Use a Leg Lock

Because the connection is all ringlock wedge, there are no loose couplers to spin off during a lift. That is why leg locks are specified for tower lifting, suspended-scaffold safety and moving and staging scaffolds, where the verticals must stay joined through handling and repositioning.

Leg locks are made from Ø48.3 mm S355 high-strength steel with cast-steel ledger heads, hot-dip galvanized for long-life site, coastal and offshore use, rated to an 18.8 kN permissible load at a 3:1 safety factor.
